After coming to the United States (U.S.) to visit the campus of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), I could not help falling more in love with this charming environment.
UIUC is one of the world’s most esteemed public research universities and it is the place of many foreign students.
Here are some of my favorite things and places in the campus:
1. THE LIBRARIES
I love all the libraries there, however, my favorite ones are the main library and the law library.
2. THE FOREIGN LANGUAGES BUILDING
So many great professors and so many amazing researches about the acquisition of a second language make this place my favorite one in the whole campus!
3. THE PARKS
They are stunning! I do not have enough words to describe how beautiful they are. It is also fascinating to watch families and friends enjoying themselves at these places.
4. THE SQUIRRELS
They are everywhere, and I love this! These little animals are so cute and curious.
5. BASKETBALL! FIGHTING ILLINI!
6. THE ALMA MATER
Alma mater comes from two Latin words meaning "nourishing or bountiful mother."
