Personal Pronouns

A pronoun is basically a word that we use to "replace" the nouns, so we do have to repeat them frequently. Look at the example below: 
Once we identified the verb of the sentence, we can replace the person who performed the action by the SUBJECT PRONOUN and the one who suffered the action by the OBJECT PRONOUN. Obviously, we may find some other situations and many other pronouns, but for now, these are the two types of pronouns that we are going to practice. 


LET'S PRACTICE! 

I. Substitute the underlined word(s) for the correct subject and object pronouns. 

Example: Dogs are very intelligent animals.   They are very intelligent animals. 

1. My sister and I are sick. 
2. My father always spends time with my brother and me
3. Where are Mary and Susan?
4. My mother gave my father a beautiful birthday gift. 


Answers:

1. We
2. He/ us
3. They 
4. She/ him
